The Spiced Orchard Cocktail is a cozy fall drink made with apple cider, bourbon, and amaretto, finished with fresh orange juice, warming spices, and a brûléed orange garnish. Perfect for Thanksgiving, holiday parties, or a festive at-home cocktail night.
Brûlée the oranges: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle sugar on one side of the orange slices and place them sugar-side down in the pan. Cook undisturbed for 1–2 minutes until caramelized. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the rim: Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt on a plate. Moisten the rims of two glasses with apple cider, then dip into the spice mixture. Fill glasses with ice.
Mix the cocktail: In a shaker filled with ice, combine apple cider, orange juice, bourbon, amaretto, and bitters. Shake well.
Serve: Strain evenly into the prepared glasses. Garnish with brûléed orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary if desired.
