If you’ve been scrolling TikTok lately, you’ve probably seen the dessert that everyone’s talking about: Healthy Cookie Dough Bark! This easy no-bake recipe has gone viral for a reason—it’s simple to make, incredibly satisfying, and can be adapted to fit just about any lifestyle. Whether you stick to the healthy version or swap in your favorite edible cookie dough recipe, this bark is guaranteed to be a hit.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This cookie dough bark is everything you love about classic cookie dough, but in a lighter, more nutrient-friendly form. It’s gluten-free, grain-free, vegan, dairy-free, and lower in sugar compared to traditional cookie dough recipes. The creamy dough is spread into a thin layer, topped with chocolate, and chilled until firm, creating bark pieces that are perfect for snacking or dessert.

Easy to Make and Customize

One of the best parts of this recipe is how adaptable it is. You can keep it on the healthier side with almond flour, coconut oil, and maple syrup, or use your go-to edible cookie dough base if you’re craving something more indulgent. For the best texture, I recommend using a stand mixer or hand mixer to whip the dough until smooth. Once chilled, you can break the bark into pieces and store it in the fridge or freezer for an easy grab-and-go treat.

The Perfect Snack or Dessert

This cookie dough bark is great for satisfying sweet cravings while still being mindful of ingredients. It makes a fun after-school snack, a healthier dessert option, or even a party treat that doubles as a conversation starter. Since it’s no-bake and customizable with mix-ins like nuts, sprinkles, or extra chocolate chips, you’ll find yourself making it again and again.

In a large bowl, mix together almond flour, oil, maple syrup and vanilla until smooth

Fold in chocolate chips

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and add cookie dough on top to spread across and form to make the bark (I use clean hands for this)

Add the bark to freezer for about 5 to 10 minutes

While bark chills, melt the remaining chocolate chips in microwave

Pour melted chocolate across the bark then set back in freezer for at least an hour

Remove from freezer, cut into pieces and enjoy!

How to Store Cookie Dough Bark

  • Refrigerator: Store bark pieces in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. This keeps the chocolate firm and the dough soft and chewy.
  • Freezer: For longer storage, freeze the bark in a freezer-safe container or bag for up to 2 months. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before enjoying to soften slightly.
  • Room Temperature: Not recommended, as the chocolate can melt and the dough may lose its texture.

Troubleshooting Tips for Perfect Cookie Dough Bark

  • Dough Too Crumbly: If your cookie dough isn’t holding together, add a teaspoon of nut butter or a drizzle of maple syrup until it binds.
  • Chocolate Layer Cracking: To avoid the chocolate breaking apart from the dough, spread the chocolate while it’s still slightly warm so it adheres better.
  • Bark Too Soft: Be sure to chill the bark long enough (at least 1 hour) before slicing or breaking it into pieces.
  • Bark Too Hard: If frozen solid, let the bark sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before eating for the perfect texture.
  • Not Sweet Enough: Since this is a healthier version, you can always adjust by adding extra maple syrup, honey, or a few stevia drops to taste.
